About Us
Our passion is saving people money and helping them focus on their passion by dealing with the background work with over 16 years of experience.
We are originally from Halifax, NS but now are proud residents of Calgary, AB. We have, and have had, a wide variety of clients from all types of contractors (landscapers, roofers, drywallers, electricians, painters etc), daycares, gift shops, chiropractors, realtors, fashion companies, dog walkers and more.
We both prefer working from our home office in SW Calgary- saves us the overhead and our clients the higher cost but also are willing to go on site if that is what our client requires. We use QuickBooks Online, Wave Accounting and Visual Tax to name a few programs.
We are probably not what you would picture as typical bookkeepers. Mel is easy to get along with and likes to take her time to ensure that our clients really understand what is going on with their books. She prides herself on making sure our clients are 100% comfortable with us and feel like they can ask any questions they may have. Darren (Mel's husband) is our paperwork processing wizard. His speciality is the nitty gritty big catch-up jobs. The arrive in a garbage bag or shoebox kind of jobs. With his background in grocery management and side jobs in renovations he has a wide range of knowledge that's very helpful when knowing what to look for.
